Welcome to Auto Apply
It fills out job applications for you, so you can spend your time finding jobs instead of retyping the same answers. Setup takes about five minutes.
Pin it to your toolbar
Click the puzzle piece icon at the top right of Chrome, then click the pin next to Auto Apply. That keeps it one click away.
Set up your profile
Add your contact info, work history, and skills, and upload your resume. The quickest way is the Fill my profile from my resume button, which reads your resume and does most of the typing for you. You check everything before saving.
Add a free AI key (recommended)
The AI writes answers to open questions, drafts cover letters, and compares a job to your resume. It uses your own free Google Gemini key.
- Open Google AI Studio and sign in with your Google account.
- Click Create API key and copy it.
- In Auto Apply settings, open the AI and Settings tab, paste the key, and press Save profile.
Keep your key private and do not share it. Everyone in your family should make their own.
Try it on a job
Open a job posting or an application, then click the Auto Apply icon. A panel opens on the right. Press Autofill this page, look everything over, and use the Next page button at the bottom of the panel. Auto Apply never submits an application on its own.
Good to know
- Your profile and answers are saved only in this browser. Nothing is sent anywhere except to Google when you use an AI button.
- On Google's free tier, Google may use what you send to improve its products. Leave personal details out of your About me box if that worries you.
- Always review a filled application before you continue. You are the one submitting it.
- Boxes that agree to terms are left alone unless you turn that on in settings.
